Who We Are

FREELAND Foundation is the only international conservation and human rights organization working across Asia that is headquartered in Asia. We are dedicated to stopping wildlife and human trafficking for the protection of our environment and vulnerable people.
FREELAND’s team has gained a reputation for expertise and reliability. Our diverse, international staff includes former military, police, and US Fish and Wildlife Service Office of Law Enforcement (OLE) Special Agents, while Communications staff is comprised of former corporate advertising and public relations specialists.
FREELAND’s environmental mission is to strengthen the protection of wildlife, combat illegal wildlife trafficking, and reduce consumption of threatened wildlife. Our environmental programs build capacity to protect wildlife and habitats, improve wildlife law enforcement, and promote sustainable livelihoods for communities to live in harmony with wildlife and their habitats. FREELAND signature capacity building and support programs include: the Protected Area Training Program; the Investigations Training Program; the Border Inspection and Controlled Delivery Program; the Judicial and Prosecutor Awareness Program; and the Poachers to Protectors Alternative Livelihoods Program.
FREELAND also builds political and public will to tackle nature crime, while public awareness campaigns address consumer demand. Signature communications programs include the Urban Public Awareness Program and the Airport and Borders Public Awareness Program.
FREELAND works with a broad range of partners to maximize the impact and reach of our programs. We encourage you to join and support our mission to make the world free of human slavery and wildlife trafficking.
